Take Action Now

There are four main ways to get involved and help stop this project.

  1. Join the Citizens Against Richwood Solar in their fight and become a member today! There is power in numbers and the more people we have as members the greater our chances will be of standing up to these utility scale solar projects. Go over and check out our membership page and feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!
  2. Consider donating to help cover our legal costs. Attorneys are not cheap and great attorneys are even more expensive. We have been consulting with one of the best environmental attorneys and he is willing to take up this fight with us. He been part of the opposition on projects that have been denied at the OPSB level and he knows what it takes to win! He is currently the only attorney who has been successful to date. If you wish to make a donation you can donate via cash or check made payable to: Citizens Against Richwood Solar, INC. and mail it to PO Box 66 Richwood, OH 43344.
  3. Make your voice heard! Local government officials (county commissioners, township trustees), as well as the Ohio Power siting board, need to hear that We The People do not want this project in our community. The easiest thing you can do is use the link at the top of this page to email the OPSB. Please see below for contact information for reaching out about your opposition to this project.
  4. You can choose to formally intervene in the case.  Please see below for what it means to be and intervenor

What does it mean to formally intervene in the case?

There are no additional obligations to being an intervenor in a case before the Ohio power siting board.  Being an intervenor grants you as an individual extra rights in regards to your case.

  1. You have the right to be served all case documents (this shows that you have an interest into the outcome of this case)  Those documents can be delivered either by regular mail or by email.
  2. You have the right to attend and or participate in the evidentiary hearing (this occurs in downtown Columbus at the PUCO offices).  You can choose to provide testimony at this hearing and if you do so as a member of CARS you would work with our attorney to provide your testimony.  NOTE YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO TESTIFY AT THESE HEARINGS BUT YOU DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO.
  3. You have the right to file for a rehearing if you are not happy with the decision made by the board.  If you are still unhappy after the rehearing you have the right to file an appeal of the boards decision with the Ohio Supreme Court.

If you want more information on formally intervening in this case please reach out to us using the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page.
